What Are the Member Password Requirements
When a member sets their password through their invitation link, the Set Your Password screen shows a real-time checklist below the two password fields. Each rule flips between Pass and Fail as the member types.
The rules
- At least 8 characters.
- At least 3 of the following 4 character types:
- Lower case letters (a-z)
- Upper case letters (A-Z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- Special characters (for example: !@#$%^&*)
What this means in plain terms
The password needs to be 8 or more characters long, and mix at least three different kinds of characters from that list of four. For example, a long password using only lowercase letters will still fail even if it's well over 8 characters, because it only satisfies 1 of the 4 categories.
Once every rule in the checklist shows Pass and the Re-enter new password field matches exactly, the Set Password button becomes clickable. There is no separate error banner — the live checklist is the only validation feedback shown, so if a member says the button "won't click," point them to the checklist to see which rule is still showing Fail.
