# What Do the Top-Bar Icons Do

The top bar lets you change how HOA Start looks and manage your own account. It appears above the page content on every tab, not just the Dashboard, so you can reach these options regardless of which organization or tab you're viewing.

##### **What's in the Top Bar**

- A left-arrow button on the far left that collapses the left-hand menu to icons only. Click it again to expand the menu.
- A theme toggle (sun icon) that opens a Theme Mode menu with Light, Dark, and System options (System is the default).

- Your avatar and name (for example, "Sarah Admin") with a dropdown arrow next to it.

##### **The Account Menu**

Clicking your name/avatar opens a dropdown showing your name and email address, followed by:

- My Profile — your own profile details.
- Sign Out — logs you out of the platform.

##### **Real-World Example**

If you're doing a long session of data entry and the bright interface is hard on your eyes at night, click the theme toggle and choose Dark from the Theme Mode menu — the setting applies across every tab, not just the one you're on.
