# How Do I Edit a Property

##### **When would you use this?**

- A community renumbers its lots and you need to update the Lot Number on file.
- A street or unit address changes or was entered incorrectly and needs correcting.
- The property's display Title needs to change to match a new naming convention.

##### **Steps**

1. Open the row's **Actions** dropdown from the Properties list (or the **Actions** button on the Property Profile page) and choose **Edit**. This opens the same form used for Add Property, pre-filled with the property's current values.

1. Update whatever field needs to change. For example, to relabel a lot number after a community renumbers its lots: clear the Lot Number field, type the new code, and continue to step 3.
2. Click **Save**.

A second confirmation appears — "Are you sure you want to save your edits to the Property \[name\]?" — with Cancel and Save buttons.

1. Click **Save** again to commit the change. The list updates immediately.
