How Do I Delete a Property

When would you use this?
  • A property was entered twice by mistake and needs to be removed.
  • A unit is being decommissioned or demolished and should no longer appear in active lists.
  • A test/placeholder property needs to be cleaned up after data entry practice.
Steps
  1. From the Properties list, open the row's Actions dropdown and choose Delete.

A confirmation modal explains the consequence plainly: "Deletion of this Property will void all unpaid invoices associated with it." It also offers an optional Notes box — useful for recording why the property is being removed.

  1. Click Yes to confirm, or No to cancel without making any changes.
What happens after deleting

The property disappears from the default Active-filtered list right away, but it isn't permanently erased. This is a soft delete — deleted properties can be brought back into view (and restored) by opening the Filter panel and setting Property Status to Deleted.

Deleting more than one property at once

Check the boxes next to multiple rows in the Properties list, then click the Delete button that appears next to List Actions (labeled with the count selected).

The confirmation for a bulk delete adds an extra safety step: along with the same warning about voiding unpaid invoices, it requires typing DELETE PROPERTIES into a confirmation field before the Yes button will take effect.
