How Do I Delete a Folder in Document Center?

This article shows you how to delete a folder in Document Center. Owners and Org Admins can do this from the folder's Actions menu.

Warning: Deleting a folder does not move it anywhere for later recovery. A confirmation dialog appears stating "This cannot be undone." Confirming permanently deletes the folder (and everything inside it) immediately; there is no Trash to recover it from afterward.

Steps
  1. In Document Center, find the folder you want to delete.
  2. Click Actions at the end of its row (in grid view, hover over the tile and click the three dots).
  3. Choose Delete.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete.

The folder and everything inside it are deleted immediately.

Good to Know
  • Deleting a folder removes the folder and everything inside it for good. Its confirmation says "This cannot be undone."
  • The Email Attachments folder is locked (marked Locked) and has no Actions menu: it cannot be renamed, moved, or deleted.
