How Do I Connect More Than One Bank Account for Reconciliation
As an Org Admin or the Org Owner, you can connect more than one bank account — for example a checking account and a separate reserve account — to Bank Reconciliation and reconcile them independently.
Connecting an additional account is an Org Admin or Org Owner action, the same as connecting the first one. Once it’s connected, Staff can reconcile against it, view it, reconnect it if its access is expiring, and disconnect it, but cannot be the one to add it.
How to Get There
- Click Financials in the left nav, then Bank Reconciliation.
- Click the dropdown arrow on the currently connected account’s header.
- Choose Connect another account.
This opens the same Connect a bank account window used to connect the first account — choose the Asset Cash Account this new bank account should post to, then continue through the bank’s sign-in flow. See “How Do I Connect a Bank Account for Bank Reconciliation?” for that walkthrough in detail.
Note: Connect another account is also available from inside the Manage bank accounts window.
Result
Once a second account is connected, both accounts appear in Manage bank accounts, each with its own status and the GL account it posts to.
Only one account’s transactions show in the workspace at a time. Use Switch account to move between them — see “How Do I Switch Between Connected Bank Accounts?”
