[Budgets & Expenses](https://help.hoastart.app/budgets-expenses?hsLang=en) # How Do I Change Which GL Account a Bank Account Posts To ##### Each connected bank account is tied to one asset cash account in the chart of accounts — the GL account its matched deposits and expenses post to. That assignment can be changed without disconnecting the bank account. **How to Get There** 1. Click Financials in the left nav, then Bank Reconciliation. 2. Click the dropdown arrow on the account card header, then Manage bank accounts. 3. Search for and select the new GL account it should post to, then click Save (or Cancel to leave it as is). *Note: This only changes which GL account new activity posts to going forward — it doesn’t move or re-post anything already reconciled under the old account.
